David is Founding Partner of BSQ Capital Partners where he co-leads the firm’s investment activities. David is an experienced multi-strategy investment professional having managed over approximately $2.3 billion of alternatives AUM investing across private equity, credit, and real estate with a focus on Asian and US markets. Prior to launching BSQ, David was Vice President of Direct Investments at Blue Pool Capital – a leading multi-billion AUM family office of Joseph Tsai. David was previously part Goldman Sachs Asian Special Situations Group (ASSG) in Hong Kong, where he managed the firm’s approximately $800 million opportunistic Asian emerging markets principal book. David started his career as an M&A investment banker at Goldman Sachs in New York. David holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan (Stephen M. Ross School of Business) and graduated with high distinction and honours.
Patrick is a Founding Partner of BSQ Capital Partners, where he co-leads the firm’s investment activities. Over his career, Patrick has executed more than $3.5 billion of investments across private equity, credit, and real estate in the US, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Prior to launching BSQ, Patrick founded an advisory and investment platform focused on the digital asset infrastructure. Previously, he was an investment professional at Lone Star Funds, where he was responsible for origination and acquisition activity across Asia-Pacific. Before Lone Star, Patrick helped launch Jaguar Growth Partners, a growth markets-focused private equity firm based in New York. Patrick began his career in the Credit and Real Estate Funds at Fortress Investment Group in its New York and Texas offices. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, from The University of Texas at Dallas.
Yong is Founding Partner of BSQ Capital Partners, where he leads the firm’s investor relations and operations functions. Yong is an experienced investor relations, capital formation, and fund operations professional. Prior to launching BSQ, Yong was part of the product specialist and distribution team at Baring Private Equity Asia (BPEA), a leading Asian private equity firm with US$40 billion of AUM, serving as the primary touchpoint between the firm’s functions and its LPs across capital formation, product structuring, and fund operations. He was responsible for fundraising the firm’s largest-ever US$11 billion flagship Asia buyout fund as well as multiple other private equity, real estate, and credit funds and co-investments, and led investor communications and business development covering 100+ LP relationships across the firm’s strategies. Prior to that, Yong was an investor relations and fundraising professional at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), one of the world’s leading asset managers with US$2+ trillion of AUM. Yong graduated from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor with a Bachelor of Science. Yong is a CFA charterholder.
